After you download the "zip" file, locate it and then unzip with your favorite program (such as win-zip). Then place the skin in the appropriate folder. In (most cases) you can just double click the (non-zip) file and it will self install.

It sometimes depends of what program version you have. Also, the skins are made for (96 DPI). To check if yours is set to that, right click your desktop and select settings. Then choose "advanced" to see if it's set to (96 DPI).

All of the files can be installed just by double clicking them. This will be in most cases.
Some files will be in the form of a "zip" file which should be unzipped. If there is a folder inside, just move the folder to it's appropriate folder.
You should always look for a "help" file, that comes with it, for any special instructions such as where to move it, what may be included, where to find more skins to match and more...
